Flexible working is an increasingly common aspect of modern working life. Whether it’s hotdesking or working remotely, many workers are expected to be able to work wherever they find themselves. In 2014, the government introduced the right of flexible working to all UK employees with more than six months of service. Employees are now actively seeking to access flexible and remote working to improve their work/life balance. And employers are seeing the benefits in a happier and more productive workforce.

But for some employers this poses a problem. What happens if you’re not set up with a safe and secure file-sharing system? Thankfully, CAS is on hand to help. As leaders in the fields of document archive storage and electronic document storage solutions, we developed CAS Cloud.

CAS Cloud: a flexible working solution to a real-world need

CAS Cloud enables you to store the hard copies of your documents safely and securely off-site at our state-of-the-art storage facilities — and call off a digital copy of the document as you need it. For organisations operating from multiple sites, this overcomes the difficulties of sharing documents between sites. CAS Cloud also provides an excellent disaster recovery solution, when you’re planning for the worst - whether that’s fire, flood or theft.

CAS Cloud was developed specifically for our clients and is a completely secure and bespoke service. Whichever of our warehouses your files are stored in, wherever you are in the world, you can access the document you’ve requested, digitally via the cloud, or have it sent straight to your inbox. It runs on a bank of dedicated high-grade servers in a bespoke and highly secure array at our HQ. Once your documents have been stored in CAS Cloud, any activity performed on them is recorded. This comprehensive audit trail remains for the life of the material. This complete record of activity means your compliance concerns become a thing of the past.

Secure and GDPR-compliant

You can save all your important documents and records on the cloud in an ultra-secure, dedicated portal. CAS Cloud offers complete flexibility as to the number and type of documents, 24/7 access for authorised personnel only, swift digitisation of new files, and the help of a team of dedicated document management professionals. Fully compliant with GDPR, CAS is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). We can present a range of international certificates to demonstrate our commitment to keeping your records safe.

What’s included?

We all know that there is more to document storage than just paper. In CAS Cloud you can store almost any file type, including: paper documents; emails; Microsoft Office documents; PDFs; images (.jpg, .bmp etc); videos (.mp4 etc) – and more.

For a low monthly rental you can start with a one-user document management system, which includes 10GB of storage. That’s enough for approximately 150,000 scanned pages, and multiple files in various formats. You can access your documents from anywhere where you have a secure internet connection, so it’s a great solution if you’re travelling or working remotely. This initial package is ideal for a small- or medium-sized business. But it can be expanded by adding on extra users and/or more storage at any time.
